MAISON RACINE is a collaborative studio founded by award winning artist, photographer and filmmaker Eve Racine. Establishing a global network of inhabitants pulsating under a shared ethos, MAISON RACINE identifies a methodology to develop conceptual projects tied to film and photography.
Based in London and Athens, a newfound perception prioritises light infused experimentation – the Mediterranean landscape has inspired a progression towards entering the vast abyss of terrain. MAISON RACINE creates evolving worlds and atmospheres through an evocative approach to the production format using emerging technologies and an aesthetic ethos that is grounded in research and playful manifestations.
Previously co-founding Metz + Racine, a globally-lauded practice for moving image and photography, Racine expands the principles for which the former was based to evolve into unforeseen territory – that of the personal, uninhibited, where emerging ideas are softened and articulated under a strong visage. Critical to this aim is the exploration of unexpected partnerships, fortified through such projects including “Address” in collaboration with Director Mototake Makishima, where the personal cosmos of select participants transform to build novel narratives of identity shaped by a conscious rendering of their environment.
